    Scars, unfortunately, are permanent. As such, they cannot be removed permanently. However, many times they can be improved. This can be done in multiple ways, depending on the problem. Sometimes scars are re-excised and closed with more precision, sometimes they are moved to areas which are easier to hide. Occasionally, adjuvant therapies such as laser, peels, or microneedling can be effective.
