Andrew G. King, MD, MBChB, FRACS, FACS, is Department Head of Orthopedic Surgery at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He is an accomplished researcher and is deeply connected to New Zealand and the University of Otago, where he studied. Most of his residency was spent there and in Exeter, England. His clinical interests lie in the field of scoliosis and other deformities of the spine. Dr. King's methods of spinal instrumentation are widely used today, and in 2007, he served as President of the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association.
