Michael Weber, MD, FACS, CPE, RPVI, works at the United States Army Institute of Surgical Research in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. An expert in vascular surgery, Dr. Weber served as Chief of vascular surgery at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in 2006. In between his time serving the Army in other countries, in 2009, he was then integrated the chief of vascular surgery and vascular surgery fellowship program at Beaumont. During his time in the Army, Dr. Weber was the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Combat Medical Badge. He is now the head of this Institute.
