Dr. Sadek earned his medical degree from Alexandria University in Alexandria, Egypt. He then went on to complete his residency and a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, New York. He also completed a fellowship in surgical critical care and trauma at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey.
Dr. Sadek joined a private practice in 2006 and performed a wide variety of advanced laparoscopic and bariatric procedures. More than three thousand advanced surgical procedures later, he has established a strong patient satisfaction rate and a solid reputation among the surgical community.
Dr. Sadek is board-certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.
Dr. Sadek is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
