  • My son's teeth are discoloured. Why?

It could be from some medications his mother was taking when she was pregnant or any medications he took if he was sick for a long time. This sounds like a developmental anomaly, but you can have a dentist or a pediatric dentist evaluate it as we need to evaluate it clinically and take X-rays if needed. Thanks READ MORE

  • #2 tooth with deep cavity - why infected after filling?

It is possible that the nerve was already infected due to the deep cavity, but there was no clinical exposure and the dentist did the filling. There is a good chance that you would end up needing a root canal, especially the radiating pain to the lower teeth which you were getting is characteristic of a nerve infection. I would keep a watch and consult with your dentist if you have any symptoms. Thanks. READ MORE

  • Can cavities in one tooth affect other teeth as well?

In my opinion, decay is not transferable from one tooth to another tooth, but if the decay is between two teeth, it can eventually cause decay or cavity on the next tooth. A cavity happens with the accumulation of bacteria in the area of tooth due to lack of cleaning properly and it does not happen locally and is usually generalized until and unless a specific area is neglected due to some pain. It is very important to get the professional cleanings done every six months and this way we can detect cavities in initial stages and save time, effort, and money to fix the big cavities. Thanks. READ MORE

  • Can using mouthwash frequently negatively impact the health of my teeth?

I would go with once a day if you do not have active periodontal or gum disease the mouthwash with alcohol tend to cause dryness of gums if used very frequently in active gum disease you should use chlorhexidine mouthwash which is only available with prescription and can discuss with your dentist thanks READ MORE

  • What could be the cause of my throbbing tooth pain?

Most probable cause of a throbbing pain is if there is pulp exposure, but it has to be evaluated after taking an X-ray. I would advise you to visit the dentist and have it evaluated. I do not know where you live, but we have offices in Little Ferry, NJ and Yonkers, NY, we would love to see you in one of our offices thanks. You can reach us at 2013428585 READ MORE
