Should I rinse my mouth after eating after tooth extraction?
For the 1st 24 hours, you should refrain from rinsing. A blood clot forms in the socket where the tooth was extracted. To avoid losing or disturbing the clot, you should not rinse. If the clot comes out prematurely, you may develop what is commonly known as a Dry socket, which can be very painful. The same goes for smoking, which could also damage the clot. READ MORE
How often should teeth be deep cleaned?
You should have a deep cleaning only when it is needed. A deep cleaning, or scaling and root planing, is necessary when you have tartar that is too far under the gum line to be removed easily.
