There are so many factors that play a role in the efficacy of scar revision surgery. First, the type and location of the scar. Then the length, characteristics and color of the scar. Finally, the amount of normal tissue that is around it. For example, it is very difficult to get rid of a scar that involves a big portion of a body location. Is hair transplant surgery dangerous?
Thank you for your question. Hair transplant procedures are not generally dangerous. First, you have to make sure that it is being performed by someone with great deal of experience. Second, you want it to be done in a clean facility. Otherwise, hair transplantation using the follicular unit extraction technique (FUE) is a safe and highly effective method to treat balding and thinning of the hair. READ MORE
What can you eat after nose surgery?
Typically after nose surgery I have patients avoid types of food that makes their nose run. These could be spicy or hot foods. Also as the temperature of food goes up so will the blood flow to upper aerodigestive system. So it is best to avoid eating really hot foods and stick with warm or cold food and drinks instead. How long does Botox last?
Botox treatment or any other similar treatments (i.e. Dysport or Xeomin) usually lasts 3-4 months. However, it isn't unusual that if you use these medications for a period of time that the duration between each injection increases. I have some patients that go 6-12 months before needing injection. Which is better for your face Kybella or CoolSculpting?
Both are great treatments to get rid of fat. It really depends on the amount of fat you need to get rid of and the number of treatments you are willing to have. Generally, both can get rid of a good amount of fat but Kybella needs more treatments than CoolSculpting. Is cheek augmentation permanent?
This is a great questions. There are several ways to augment someone’s cheek. One is through the use of fillers like Restylane, Jeuvaderm, Sculptra and Radiesse. These methods give great results but are no permanent. You can also do cheek implants which is a surgical procedure. In this case, however, the results are permanent. Cheek lift is usually done through 2 separate incisions. It is either done via a small incision in your mouth along the cheek. This is called a trans-buccal incision. I am sorry to hear about your accident. There are many ways that plastic surgery can either remove or improve the appearance of scars. It really depends on the location of the scars and the characteristics of the scar. A raised scar can be injected with steroids, can be treated with lasers and dermabrasion. What are the side effects of Botox?
Botox is typically a very safe procedure. However, like most other procedures it can have some side effects. The most common side effect is headaches. These are usually temporary. You can also have allergic reaction to Botox. This is, however, very rare. Most other side effects are related to the Botox spreading from the area of injection to other locations. This can lead to a droopy eyelid or fullness of the upper eyelids. READ MORE
Is facial plastic surgery painful?
Facial plastic surgery in general is not very painful. However, there are many procedures that fall under the umbrella of facial plastic surgery and some of them can be more painful than others. How painful is it to get hair transplantation?
This is a great question. Hair transplantation is a wonderful procedure that gives great natural results. The best part is that it can be done totally with local anesthesia and the reason for this is that the procedure is not very painful. There is some injection involved during the initial numbing process but after that most patients are very comfortable and have no issues. However, I should caution that if your surgeon does strip technique then there is sutures and pain associated with this procedure. Most surgeons now will use a follicular unit extraction technique that is scar less and pain less. READ MORE

It is completely safe to have a nose job in the summer. My philosophy is that you should have your surgery when you have the most amount of time to recover and often times summer and holiday season are the best times to have a rhinoplasty procedure. READ MORE

It is absolutely possible to treat male pattern baldness, however, it depends on the extent of baldness. If you have only a small U shaped hair left you are not a candidate for hair transplantation.
