Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Sanz is an experienced, board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who sees patients at Sanz & Agostini P.A. in Tampa, Florida.
Both Dr. Sanz and Dr. Agostini were trained at Harvard Medical School, as well as in other outstanding educational and medical institutions. In addition to psychiatric treatment and psychological psychotherapy-counseling, they offer some psychological testing in order to assess significant issues of ADHD, behavior problems, depression, and anxiety.
In practice since 1992, Dr. Sanz’s patients have excellent things to say about her, one stating “I have been a patient of Dr. Sanz for many years. Alongside her clinical role, she is an Affiliate Professor within the Department of Child Psychiatry at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.
Before embarking on her professional journey, Dr. Sanz earned her Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in pre-medicine from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez in 1978. She then went on to obtain her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 1982, after which she relocated to the United States to complete her fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at Harvard Medical School in 1987.
Committed to her profession, the doctor is board-certified in child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.
Among her professional affiliations are memberships with the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Medical Association, the Puerto Rico Medical Association, and the Society of Graduate Doctors, School of Medicine.
