Robert A. Ruggiero, Sr., MD, FACS, established the Ruggiero Orthopaedic Associates, now known as the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Center located in Malvern, Pennsylvania in 1979. Dr. Ruggiero is known as one of the top orthopaedic surgeons in his area and was voted ?Top Doc? by Main Line Today magazine for many years. A true leader in his field, Dr. Ruggiro is especially noted for his expertise in total joint replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery; also having pioneered of the orthopaedic advancements that have become well-known around the globe. Dr. Ruggiero is an advocate for continued education, and shares his extensive knowledge and skills that he acquired over the years with his colleagues by mentoring them. As an active orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Ruggiero is currently the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery within the practice; also having held numerous other positions throughout his 40 year career, being the past president at Bailey Hospital and sitting on various Boards of Directors.
