Dr. Sama Salim is the proud owner and principal dentist at 16 Mile Dental. She is viewed by her patients and colleagues as an experienced, patient and caring general dentist with a special interest in dental sleep medicine, geriatric and pediatric dentistry. Both Sama and her husband are active supporters in the community. Along with other dental professionals, Dr. Salim Co-Founded and is a member of the Board of Directors on the Canadian Iraqi Dental Society. This non-profit organization aims to build bridges between members of the society and the community as a whole, with the aim of professional development, networking, cultural expansion and general oral health promotion, in a congenial and professional atmosphere. Dr. Salim has been awarded recognition for her outstanding achievements in the following areas: ? The Ethics and Professionalism Award from the American College of Dentists/ BC Section in 2011 and the title of Honouree Member in the ACD Annual meeting in 2012. Among all of these achievements, Dr. Salim continues to grow academically, she incessantly increases her knowledge by taking continuing educational courses. Her passion for dentistry is exemplary in her ability to practice dentistry with high ethical standards and delivering gentle and compassionate dental care to her patients.
