She embarked on her dental journey early, attending the New York City College of Technology in Brooklyn, where she swiftly earned her stripes as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Her dedication and drive were evident from the start, earning her the highest ranking in her class.

Balancing her commitment to practical experience, Dr. Hoyos practiced dental hygiene in Manhattan while concurrently pursuing her education part-time. This relentless pursuit of knowledge led her to the prestigious University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where she achieved the pinnacle of academic success by graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Finally, she completed a hospital-based General Practice residency at Queens Hospital Center in New York.

On a professional level, she is a member of esteemed organizations like the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Clear Aligners. Additionally, her membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a dental honor society, underscores her dedication to the highest standards of professionalism and excellence.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentist’s diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

With a heart full of aspirations and a vision for fostering a sense of community, Dr. Hoyos and her husband settled in Fairfax, Virginia. The area's charm captured their hearts, and they both became active members of the local community. In the spring of 2023, their lives embraced a new dimension as they welcomed their first child, adding another layer of joy to their journey.
