Get to know Venerated Urologist Dr. Martin L. Dresner, who serves the population of Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Martin L. Dresner has been practicing for over 52 years and is currently working with the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System in Tucson, Arizona. He is also affiliated with WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital. He is a highly-trained and qualified urologist with expertise in all facets of his work. Dr. Martin L. Dresner obtained his medical degree from the Thomas Jefferson University Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1965. An internship was then completed at the Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania, followed by a residency at the Martin Army Community Hospital in Fort Benning, Georgia prior to a fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Jones Memorial Hospital in Jamestown, New York. Dr. Dresner is certified by the American Board of Urology, and remains a professional member of many professional organizations including the American Association of Clinical Urologists, the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, and the American Urological Association. Alongside his work as a physician, he served with distinction in the United States Army for 28 years, earning the Order of Military Medical Merit Award. He has also been honored with the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He attributes his success to his hard work and dedication, his love of his profession and the support of his colleagues throughout his career. When not assisting patients, Dr. Dresner enjoys music, especially jazz, and spending time with his grandchildren. A Urologist is a doctor who specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the male reproductive system, as well as the urinary tracts of both males and females. His profession covers the kidneys, ureter, urinary bladder, adrenal glands, urethra, and the male reproductive organs which include the testes, epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate and penis. Some common disorders that urologists treat are urinary tract infections (UTI), stress incontinence, benign prostatic hyperplasia, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and cystitis.
