Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Witt graduated with honors from the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine earning a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, and finished a traditional internship at Suncoast Hospital located in Largo, Florida. After his internship, he moved to Columbus, Ohio where he completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Doctors Hospital. Finally, he concluded his training in Grand Rapids, Michigan obtaining a fellowship in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery from the Orthopedic Associates of Michigan.
As a testament to his success, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system. He is also board-eligible by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS).
