Get to know Family Physician Dr. Khatuna Belov, who serves patients in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

A caring family physician specializing in primary care, Dr. Belov sees patients at her private practice in Ridgewood, New Jersey. She also maintains privileges at The Valley Hospital.

A Georgia native, she earned her medical degree from the State Medical School of Tbilisi in 1990. After relocating to the United States, she went on to complete her internship and residency in family medicine at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in 2000 and 2003, respectively.

Attributing her success to having always wanted to be a nurse, even as a child, as well as her education, Dr. Belov is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

Outside of the office, Dr. Belov enjoys spending time with her family. She speaks English, Russian, and Georgian.
