Linda L. Williams, MD, maintains a private practice in Highland Ranch, Colorado. Before venturing into private practice she held a position at Southwest Counseling Associates located in the state of Colorado. Earlier in her career, Dr. Williams received training in primary care psychiatry; treating emotional distress accompanying chronic or serious medical illnesses. However, currently she specializes in adult psychiatry and offers a wide variety of services including, psychiatric evaluation and assessment, medication management, and a variety of therapy approaches for individuals and groups. Aside from treating her patients within the facility, Dr. Williams is an advocate for volunteer work and has worked with immigrant populations in the United States; as well as, in disaster zones rendering emergency physical and psychiatric care to both survivors and disaster workers. A highly active physician in her field, Dr. Williams has recently been involved with a mission trip to Haiti, post earthquake, serving as her team?s trauma counselor. She also provided emergency mental healthcare in the largest tent city, worked with the United Nations to establish a Mental Health Task Force, and helped to write Haiti?s emergency disaster mental health policy.
