Get to know General and Cosmetic Dentist Dr. Jane Brodsky, who serves patients in North Bethesda, Maryland.
For over twenty years, Dr. Brodsky has been practicing in most areas of modern general dentistry (including cosmetic, restorative, pediatric, and geriatric dentistry), dental implants, as well as the management of temporomandibular disorders (TMJ) and orofacial pain. She also has expertise in dental hypnosis and relaxation techniques.
Currently, Dr. Brodsky is offering patients comprehensive dental care at her private dental practice in North Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Brodsky has research experience in the fields of orofacial pain and biomaterials at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and at the University of Maryland. She teaches part-time as a Clinical Instructor of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Post-Graduate Residency Program at the University of Maryland. Furthermore, she has been contributing her time as a volunteer dental consultant and care provider for senior residents at the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington for many years.
Dr. Brodsky received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from the Hebrew University – Hadassah School of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem in 1985. After practicing dentistry in Israel for several years, she continued her education at the University of Maryland at Baltimore. There, Dr. Brodsky completed a two-year residency, became certified in Advanced General Dentistry, and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in oral and craniofacial biological sciences.
Dr. Brodsky is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Brodsky is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain (FAAOP). The AAOP, an organization of dentists and other health professionals, is dedicated to alleviating pain and suffering through the promotion of excellence in education, research, and patient care in the field of orofacial pain and associated disorders.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. As a general and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Brodsky diagnoses oral diseases, as well as promotes oral health and disease prevention. She is also a certified Invisalign® Preferred Provider. Invisalign is a type of orthodontic treatment that helps to straighten teeth without the use of the typical metal braces.
Dr. Brodsky is fluent in English, Hebrew, and Russian. Her favorite professional publication is the Journal of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Brodsky attributes her success to hard work and compassion for patients. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and dancing.
