Dr. Davila-Santini has a solid academic foundation that he drew upon in order to grow professionally and become one of the most appreciated surgeons in his field. He received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico (Universidad de Puerto Rico) School of Medicine, where he also conducted his internship. He then went on to complete an internship in General Surgery at New York–Presbyterian Hospital Queens, followed by his fellowship training at NorthShore University Hospital, where he became specialized in vascular surgery.

Vascular surgery involves the management of diseases of the vascular system (arteries and veins) by medical therapy, minimally invasive catheter procedures, and surgical reconstruction. As a vascular surgeon, Dr. Davila-Santini diagnoses and treats vascular diseases and performs vascular surgeries.
