He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Veterans Administration Caribbean Healthcare System, where he also served as Chief Resident. Most recently, he completed a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the Moffitt Cancer Center/University of South Florida.

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in medical oncology and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Licensed to practice medicine in Florida, Dr. Grajales-Cruz can be found on staff at Memorial Hospital West and Memorial Regional Hospital.
