Dr. Brown is a highly trained and qualified dentist with extensive expertise in all facets of her work. In practice since 2002, she serves patients within her own private practice, Healthy Smiles PC, located in Huntsville, Alabama.
With the support of her expert team, she provides a comprehensive range of cosmetic, restorative, and family dentistry services. At the same time, she places great emphasis on preserving one’s natural, genuine, and beautiful smile.
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Brown made Huntsville her home when she was 7. Her undergraduate studies were completed at Oakwood University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Sciences. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in 1996. A year later, she served as Chief Resident of Hospital Dentistry at the same educational venue.
After her residency, she returned home to Huntsville, where she worked as an associate with area dental practices until Healthy Smiles PC was born. Now an esteemed member of the dental community, she is an active member in many leading dental organizations, including the American Dental Association.
Attributing her success to having faith in God, Dr. Brown considers her occupation as not just a job, but as a career where she can be passionate about what she loves to do – care for Healthy Smiles. It is her goal to ensure education and understanding while providing a fun-loving, friendly environment to her patients.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
