Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Victoria Payne, who serves patients in Henderson, North Carolina. 

Dr. Payne is a psychiatrist serving Henderson and the surrounding communities. She is affiliated with Daymark Recovery Services – a mental health and substance abuse recovery clinic that strives to inspire and empower people to seek and maintain recovery and health. 

Dr. Payne earned her medical training at Wake Forest School of Medicine. She completed a residency in psychiatry at Duke University. 

Dr. Payne is board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists. 

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to diagnosing, preventing, and treating mental disorders. As a psychiatrist, Dr. Payne may treat patients through a variety of methods including medications, psychotherapy or talk therapy, psychosocial interventions and more, depending on each individual case. She has a clinical interest in depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. 

With over 10 years of experience in the field, Dr. Payne has treated hundreds of patients in North Carolina. Over the course of her career, she has also been honored with several awards pertaining to her outstanding work and dedication, including the “APA Research Colloquium for Junior Investigators Award” in 2004.
