Frank H. Bynes Jr. received his medical degree in 1977 from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He then pursued his residency training at Staten Island Hospital and New York University Downtown Hospital. Dr. Bynes Jr. is board-certified in internal medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds additional certificates in Advanced Trauma Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He stays at the forefront of his specialty through his memberships with the American Medical Association, the New York Academy of Sciences, the American College of Physicians, the American Association for Advancement of Science, the Medical Association of Georgia, and the Georgia State Medical Association. Dr. Bynes Jr. has been honored with the Bridges to Excellence Recognition (2013-2016), Patients’ Choice Award (2015), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2015), and NCQA Physician Practice Connections – Patient Centered Medical Home (2013 – 2016). He is a highly-trained and qualified internist who has been practicing for over 28 years and is currently serving patients at his private practice located in Savannah, Georgia. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. As an internist, Dr. Bynes Jr. provides diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of disease and injuries of internal organ systems in adult patients. He has vast expertise in several areas relating to his line of work, including emergency medicine and sports medicine. He attributes his success to being dedicated to his profession and listening to patients’ needs. In his spare time, he enjoys sailing and traveling.
