Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Alison M. Baker, who serves patients in Sullivan, Missouri.

Dr. Baker, an outstanding obstetrician-gynecologist, is in practice with BJC Medical Group Sullivan Clinic & Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital. Studying medicine, Dr. Baker graduated with her medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in 2008. She then went on to complete her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, she is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Attributing her success to excellent training and support from her community, Dr. Baker has published a chapter on Pre-implantation Genetic Screening.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynecology. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Baker enjoys spending time with her family and watching movies. Her favorite professional publications are the Green Journal and the Grey Journal.
