Can a chiropractor correct my limping?
I would have to ask why you limp? Is it due to some truma or malformation, etc. As a chiropractor we find the structural fixation and misalignment that would interrupt you normal gait and correct it. If the degeneration has set it in only a portion of normal gait can be restored. Chiropractic is great at restoring normal joint mobility, stopping degeneration, and restoring health to areas by allowing the body to heal naturally. Natural healing is the best type of healing. Is scoliosis preventable?
Getting your spine checked by a chiropractor is like going to your dentist for your teeth. It is never too early or too late. As children grow and develop subluxations can creep in due to falls or other unforeseen occurrences. Once a subluxation occurs and then the child has a growth spurt then scoliosis can occur. Scoliosis can occur in family lines. If scoliosis is found at a level of 40 degrees or less then chiropractors can correct it with a series of adjustments. If the scoliosis is 40 degrees or greater then a brace is recommended. At 60 degrees or greater then surgery is recommended. READ MORE
My father is suffering from severe back pain. Can it be treated with manual adjustment of the spine?
A good chiropractor is going to take a case history and an exam to find the problem. A problem can stem from a nerve, a joint, or a muscle. There is also a degree to which the problem can be. If there is sever degeneration to a joint it will be hard to remove the pain, but only by seeing the chiropractor can you prevent sever degeneration from occurring. You may or may not see a medical professional who recommends a chiropractor. MD's will provide medicine to decrease inflammation and relax muscles. A chiropractor will correct the spinal misalignments (subluxations) to take the pressure of the nerve, muscle and joints to improve function and decrease pain. The correction by adjustment and physiotherapy allows the body to heal naturally. At 64 years old there is never too late time to feel better, and stop the degeneration. Always take caution to find a chiropractor who is experienced and well received in your community. Sometimes asking friends will direct you to a reliable chiropractor, someone they have been to, not just the closes one. READ MORE
What is the lump that I can feel right behind my neck?
A chiropractor has medical training in diagnosis, as well as, a superior understanding of the anatomy. It is not unheard of for a bone that is misaligned, subluxated, jutting out of the neck. Some other qualifying questions would be, do you have normal range of motion without pressure when moving the neck? Does the jetting out point move when you turn your head? does it feel like it's beneath the skin? See a chiropractor it can be cheaper and more effective than see a family doctor for a musculoskeletal problem. READ MORE
I am suffering from anterior tibial tendinitis. Should I quit my job?
Chiropractors who have training in extremity adjusting have seen success with areas of tendinitis. The tendinitis can be caused by the subluxation of the tibio-fibula joint, thus putting pressure on the tendon to work harder, to hold the two bones in proximity. READ MORE

Why do I have a sharp knee pain?
Sharp knee pain can be a result of many different reasons. Don't worry it's not your age. I treat many long-term athletes that require the prevention that chiropractic provides to joints. Unfortunately, is not so easy to say that your problem is one thing. A proper evaluation of orthopedic test and observational posture exam can lead a practitioner to identify, if this problem is your nerve, joint or a muscloskeletal imbalance. Chiropractic is safe, affordable, and a perfect option for knee pain. A medical doctor may prescribe anti-inflammatory, muscle relaxers. However, a Chiropractor will find the cause of the problem and correct it naturally. Seek out a chiropractor who has experience with athletes or someone that has experience with extremity adjusting. Is there a way to treat back pain arising due to long sitting hours?
Your job and you age may add to the problem that started long ago with a forgotten injury, that over time becomes stiffness/pressure/pain on the spine. Chiropractic has been a successful option for treating low back pain since 1895. Doctors of Chiropractic are the second largest health care providers in the western world (It's not new or experimental). By seeing a chiropractor they can perform a series of orthopedic-neuological test to identify the true cause of the problem. If the problem is a musculoskeletal problem a Chiropractor and correct the problem easily based on the reliable information from an exam. From the sounds of it your inability to straighten, can be a chiropractic problem. A Doctor of Chiropractic can also identify the postural changes, sitting ergonomics and in-turn give you postural suggestions and exercises to correct you spine for a lot longer. READ MORE
Can a chiropractor help in treating pain due to weight gain?
Hello, Your question was about how weight gain relates to your relief from chiropractics. As a chiropractor, I would normally ask a set of questions like how it started, where, and when, along with orthopedic and neurological test to find out if the pain is from a ligament, muscle, disc or nerve. However, without some specific information, I can tell you that extra weight can put extra pressure on muscle, ligaments and joints. With either a lift or or turn that usually would not cause any problem now stresses the joint. Chiropractic aligns the spine taking stress off the system of the body allowing it to heal. If the weight is not going to come off, life is not hopeless; because just like a injured sprain ankle if not treated by a doctor it doesn’t heal properly. The same for you back, if is not treated properly then the joint is not going to heal properly. A good chiropractor is not only going to align the joint they would inform you towards posture, rehab exercises and home solutions to help you deal with these issues. My back hurts when I sit down. Why?
Pain is often the last symptom to occur when there is an injury. Our bodies experience wear and tear every day, and the accumulation of smaller traumas, even those you're not necessarily aware of, can eventually cause pain and decreased function. I would recommend that you be evaluated by a chiropractor to see if chiropractic care can help. READ MORE
