About

Jim is the Vice President and Medical Director at SALUS GLOBAL. His role among others is to manage the operations, maintenance and evolution of Patient Safety Programs (including: MOREOB and AMPROOB). He is also responsible for the editing of their clinical content.

Following 20 years of rural obstetrical practice, his experience with the MOREOB Program as a participant, Core Team member and as a facilitator, led him to London, Ontario and the Salus Global Corporation.

He has been involved in Primary Care Networks (PCN) since their inception as a physician lead, utilising them as a vehicle to improve patient care and healthcare access in his town. He is the lead author of the Kehewin Project, a new model for prenatal care delivery in an aboriginal community. As he became more involved in the process of change in medicine as it pertained to the PCN, he became interested in the process of change in the culture of medicine.

He retired from practice an Assistant Clinical Professor in the department of Family Medicine at the University of Albertaʼs Faculty of Medicine. He is committed to sustainable high quality rural obstetrics, Patient Centered Care and to the world of Patient Safety.
