As bone resorbs, denture will become loose. As dentures becomes loose, we either do a reline, a rebase or fabricate new dentures. Also, consider implant-retained or implant-supported dentures if you want more secure dentures or fixed dentures solution. READ MORE

It depends on what level the tooth cracked and how much of tooth structure is remaining and what the long term prognosis, it’s hard to give an opinion without doing an exam and checking on an X-ray. How often will I have to replace my braces?
Not sure if I understand your question properly, but if you just started you traditional ortho treatment, you will see your orthodontist approximately once every month. Teeth has to be moved slowly with constant light force, they will need to do adjustments or change elastics until desired reault is achieved and then you will wear retainers. If its invisalign then frequency is usually once every 4 or 6 weeks. READ MORE
Do root canals happen more often as you age?
They can happen at any age. If someone has multiple complex dental fillings and they were not maintained properly then they might end up in root canal treatments. To answer tour question, if your dental hygiene is maintained well and you go to regular cleanings and check ups, and do necessar ytreatment you dentist suggest, your risk of needing a root canal should be low even as you age. Is chewing gum often bad for your teeth?
As long as you do not have any TMJ (jaw joint) or masticatory muscle issues, you should be fine. But like anything overdoing one particular activity might put a strain on entire system (joint, muscles, teeth). READ MORE

Do fillings need to be replaced?
Usually average life span of a filling is 7-10 years. Depending on size, location, stress on filling and tooth some fillings fail sooner and some last longer. Fillings on front teeth might need to be changed for cosmetic reasons alone. With out doing an exam and reviewing your xrays, it is impossible to tell. Talk to your dentist next time you see him. What is gingivitis and its risk factors?
Gingivitis - inflammation in the gums around your teeth. Usual aigns of gingivitis is bleeding on probing, swollen gums, bad odor. Most common cause of gingivitis is poor oral hygiene. Can a tooth abscess be seen on an X-ray?
X-ray will only radiolucency or radioopacities. Depending on clinical findings and x-ray findings your dentist will make the diagnosis. READ MORE

How can flossing help in maintaining the health of teeth and gums?
Yes, it helps. Twice a day is current recommendation. Brushing alone is not enough to get the plaque in between teeth, flossing will help with that. READ MORE
Food getting stuck behind wisdom teeth
Even with meticulous homecare, sometimes food get struck under the tissue partially covering the wisdom tooth. You either opt to do a simple procedure of cutting of the excess tissue (operculectomy) around the wisdom tooth or you can get your wisdom tooth removed either partially(coronectomy) or completely depending on its relation to inferior alveolar nerve. With operculectomy sometimes tissues might grow back. Discuss pros and cons in detail with your dentist. READ MORE
Is it bad if a piece of an old filling falls out?
No it is not Ok. Most common reason for part of old filling to fall out is because of cavity that started under the old filling. Even if there is no cavity, partially missing filling will be a food trap and can cause cavity. Please consult your dentist and replace your filling. READ MORE
