Dr. Checchio, also known to her patients as ‘Dr. Lennie’, is a pediatric dentist. She works alongside Dr. Michael Koumaras, DMD, at their private practice, Best Dentist 4 Kids.
With two offices conveniently located in Northeast Philly and Hatboro, Pennsylvania, Best Dentist 4 Kids is proud to provide the best dental care for children. Both Dr. Lennie and Dr. Michael have been caring for Philadelphia’s Next Generation of Smiles for over 30 years. They strive to make every visit to the dentist fun and educational for patients and parents alike.
Raised in Philadelphia, Dr. Lennie graduated from Nazareth Academy High School and earned her undergraduate degree from Villanova University. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University, after which she completed her pediatric dental training at St. Christopher Hospital for Children.
Named a Top Doc by Philadelphia Magazine, Dr. Lennie has held numerous positions in the dental community including President of the Philadelphia County Dental Society & President of the Associated Pediatric Dental Specialists.
Holding an academic appointment, she is a Clinical Associate Professor within the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at University of Pennsylvania.
