In 1967, Dr. Levitzky earned her Medical Degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. She went on to complete an internship at Bellevue Hospital Center, followed by a residency at Beth Israel Medical Center and NYU Hospitals Center. 

Dr. Levitzky is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The ABP is an independent, nonprofit organization whose certificate is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence. She also maintains a professional membership with Children’s Foster Care for America.
