Neil Wright, MBBCh(Wits), FCS(SA), FRACS(Vasc), FRACS(Gen Surg) is a Consultant in Vascular Surgery at the Department of Surgery of the University of Adelaide, South Australia and the Department of Vascular Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide, South Australia, in Australia. Vascular surgery is a specialty of surgery in which diseases of the vascular system, or arteries and veins, are managed by medical therapy, minimally-invasive catheter procedures, and surgical reconstruction. In practice for 25 years, Dr. Wright specializes in endovascular surgery, diabetic foot intervention, as well as venous ablation and surgery and laparoscopic surgery. He studied for his MBBCh degree at the University of Witwatersrand and then trained at Johannesburg Hospital and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is certified in general and vascular surgery in South Africa and Australia. Furthermore, he is a member of the Vascular Association of South Africa and Australia, and also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (vascular surgery) and fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (general surgery).
