Nella Ciciulla-Albrecht is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and is currently obtaining her PhD in Clinical Psychology at NorthCentral University. She received her Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2015 and her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2011. Nella is also a Qualified Supervisor for mental health counselors with the Florida Department of Health. She has extensive experience in the Forensic field and working with those suffering with severe, persistent mental illness. As a Forensic Mental Health Director for a non-profit agency, she proved to be an outstanding performer in acute care and forensic psychology within the mental health field. Nella has proven success in leadership, operational excellence and organizational development with keen understanding of elements of community needs. She was recognized for inspiring management team members to excel and encouraging creative work environments and nominated as a Top 12 Finalist for LEAD Brevard in 2020. She was also nominated for FIT’s weVenture, “Women Who Rock” award for Compassion in Caregiving in 2022.

Multi-talented and passionate about her profession, Nella is a highly skilled, compassionate, empathetic, and solutions-oriented mental health professional dedicated to providing exceptional care and implementing effective crisis intervention strategies and treatment strategies for children, adolescents, and adults.

A woman of many titles, she is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), a Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator (CFMHE), a Certified Career Counselor Educator (CCCE), a Clinical Forensic Neuroscience-Informed Practitioner (CFNIP), a Child Custody Evaluator, and a Court Appointed Juvenile Competency Evaluator.

Born in San Pedro, California, Nella moved to Florida with her parents when she was 5 years old. She was primarily raised in Melbourne and graduated from Palm Bay High School. She then received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2011, and her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2015. 

Currently, she is obtaining her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology at NorthCentral University, where she is expected to graduate in 2024.

On a professional level, Nella is a member of the American Counseling Association.

Counseling is the individualized and personalized assistance with personal, educational, vocational problems in which all pertinent facts are studied and analyzed and a solution is sought. A mental health counselor is a licensed professional (commonly known as an LPC or LMHC) who provides care for clients with emotional and behavioral issues. They typically see clients on a recurring schedule to help with an ongoing issue.
