Founded in 2007, Tristate Preventive Health Consultants provides quality corporate medical consulting for employers nationwide and on-site preventive health testing currently available in the tri-states of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Each individual employee contributes their unique talents to the organization and adheres to its high-quality standards.
Evaluating the interaction between work and health, Dr. Loewenstine also serves as the National Medical Director for Givaudan, the world’s leading flavour and fragrances company.
With over 30 years of experience in occupational and preventive medicine, she is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.
Following the completion of her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 1983, Dr. Loewenstine obtained her medical degree from the College of Medicine and Life Sciences in 1987. She then went on to serve her residency in family medicine at Franciscan Medical Center.
In order to stay up to date in her field, she remains a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the International Society of Travel Medicine. She attributes her success to her long-standing reputation of quality and attention to detail, keeping current in treatments/trends, and offering a high level of customer satisfaction.
Occupational medicine is the branch of medicine concerned with the maintenance of health in the workplace, including prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries, with secondary objectives of maintaining and increasing productivity and social adjustment in the workplace. Occupational medicine specialists work to ensure that the highest standards of occupational health and safety are achieved and maintained in the workplace.
As an educator, Dr. Loewenstine has been involved in teaching and training first responders/emergency response teams in industries, as well as teaching and training physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses in the field of occupational and travel medicine. She has also served as a voluntary preceptor for residents and medical students at Wright State University, and has made public presentations to a wide variety of audiences on the topics of preventive and travel health & the importance of industrial screenings.
Throughout her extensive career, she has received many honors, including being named to America’s Top Physicians by Consumers’ Research Council of America & the Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Executives and Professionals. In 1999, former First Lady, Barbara Bush, presented her with the Regional Healthcare Provider “Spirit of Women” Award as the area’s first recipient. She is also one of the select few healthcare providers in the world to hold a Certificate of Knowledge in Travel Health.
Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Loewenstine enjoys traveling, gardening, and photography.
