Dr. Kimberly A. McGinn is an Assistant Professor who specializes in Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. Inspired to enter the healthcare industry after reading a Gray�s Anatomy book as at 10 years old and Osteopathic Medicine because her family doctor was an osteopathic physician, Dr. McGinn currently has eighteen years of excellence in medicine. Her areas of specialization include family medicine, medical education and osteopathic manipulative medicine. In addition to treating patients, Dr. McGinn is an Assistant Professor at the university as well. A member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and Nevada Osteopathic Medical Society, Dr. McGinn was certified as meeting the requirements for an Osteopathic Physician by the National Noard of Osteopathic Medical Examiner She also holds board certification in Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. Dr. McGinn received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology/New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then went on to complete her internship at the Long Beach Medical Center and residency in Family Practice with OMT at St. John's Episcopal Hospital, where she was also a Chief Resident. She spent over 12 years providing care to our Veterans in the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System in Las Vegas, where she developed the first VA OMT clinic, served as a Planetree and BLS Instructor, was trained in Battlefield Acupuncture, earned a certificat in Health Informatics and worked for over eight of those years in strong leadership roles as Associate Chief of Staff for Education and Chief of Clinical Informatics.
Dr. McGinn has also been honored as Physician of the Year Award from National Planetree Organization, as a Leading Physician of the World by The International Association of Healthcare Professionals and as a Pinnacle Professional by Continental Who's Who.�
Dr. McGinn attributes her success to her hard work and the values she learned from her family. She works hard to ensure that all of her patients are receiving the best possible treatments. When she is not assisting patients, Dr. McGinn enjoys spending time with her friends and family.�
