He practices at Stamford Health – Bennett Cancer Center in Stamford, Connecticut. 

The Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center combines state-of-the-art technology and advanced clinical knowledge with care that treats each patient as an individual. The Center provides chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, CyberKnife stereotactic radiosurgery, clinical trials, nurse navigation, genetic counseling, and a full array of support services.

Recognized for his clinical expertise, Dr. Gulati believes in a personal touch with his patients, striving to develop open communication and always remain accessible. He enjoys working with his patients to solve difficult treatment problems and offers personalized care to fit their needs.

In the early days of his life, he witnessed the evolution of oncology by watching his father practice medicine. After seeing the advances in the field and the great relationships his father developed with his patients, he chose to practice oncology as well. He earned his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 2008, after which he went on to complete his residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, followed by his fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

After receiving his specialized fellowship training at Columbia University, Dr. Gulati chose to focus on treating patients with genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and neuroendocrine cancers. In 2015, he was awarded the Rookie of the Year Award in the Department of Medicine at Stamford Health for quality patient care during his first year of service.

Among the doctor’s many achievements, he is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. He is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Oncology is a branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. A hematologist-oncologist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of blood diseases and cancers such as iron-deficiency anemia, hemophilia, sickle-cell disease, leukemia, and lymphoma.
