Back in the early days of his academic career, he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in 2005, and completed his residency in neurosurgery at Kettering Health.
A Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (FACOS), the doctor is board-certified in neurological surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, whose broad aim is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the science of neurological surgery and thereby serve the cause of public health.
Remaining up to date in his field, Dr. Porcelli is an active member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, and the American Osteopathic Association.
