Praveen Buddiga, MD, is a sophisticated graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and completed his Internal medicine residency at Austin Medical Education Program (affiliated with the University of Texas). He completed his Allergy & Immunology Fellowship at the University of Medicine & Dentistry-UMDNJ, New Jersey. He has been in professional practice since 2005 and is affiliated with the Community Regional Medical Centers, St. Agnes Medical Center and is an active member of the Fresno Madera Medical Society, Tulare County Medical Society, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is board certified in Allergy & Immunology and in Internal Medicine. He has volunteered for asthma screening camps for organizations and provides community education in the field of Asthma & Allergy at multiple forums. Yes it is anaphylaxis since the skin swelled up on contact to the food protein that you are allergic to. The two most common food protein allergic reactions would be respiratory and skin related. I would recommend an Allergist evaluation to foods and carrying an Epinephrine pen for emergencies. READ MORE
