Passionate for medicine from a young age, Dr. Furman received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He found his passion in pulmonology, aggressively pursuing advanced training and degrees in interventional pulmonary techniques and critical care medicine. He completed his residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, followed by his fellowship training at the Wayne State University School of Medicine.
Dr. Furman is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, and a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine. He also holds professional memberships with the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.
