Why a chiropractor for my daughter's constipation?
The large colon is controlled by nerves coming from the sacrum and low back as well as the upper cervical region that controls all nerve flow below the brain. When you adjust the spine, it allows for proper nervous system control to the associated organs. When you think about it, what controls the body? The spine/nervous system. If there is organ dysfunction in the absence of any disease, then it's probably nervous system related. READ MORE

Pain years after spinal fusion surgery
Something to think about with spinal fusions is that even though the level of the spine is fused, the other segments of the spine still continue to move. While spinal fusions are sometimes necessary, it can also promote spine degeneration above and below the fused region along with muscle imbalance and aberrant motion depending on the region. Anyone that has a spinal fusion needs to know that for the indefinite future, their spine isn't the same as it used to be and needs regular care (even if it feels fine). READ MORE

I am suffering from anterior tibial tendinitis. Should I quit my job?
I would decrease the hours or frequency of work since tendonitis of a lower extremity, in the absence of other diseases, is often due to over use, improper alignment and inflammation. I suspect that the tendonitis is actually a result of poor shoes, imbalance in pelvic alignment and in the quadricep muscles. Resting tendonitis is the first thing you should do. Other treatments can include cold laser treatments, acupuncture, chiropractic and massage. READ MORE
