What causes vaginal pain?
Pain around the vagina without sexual intercourse could be due to: 1) Pelvic floor dysfunction where the pelvic floor muscles are in a continuous state of spasm as a result of painful stimulation or because of fibromyalgia. 2) Pelvic congestion syndrome where the venous circulation in the pelvis is stagnant and the veins are engorged and form varicosities. This can result from a sedentary lifestyle, chronic constipation or sexual dissatisfaction. 3) Endometriosis in the recto-vaginal septum can cause a sharp pain to worsen with periods & during sex. 4) Pain with chronic pelvic infection, pelvic abscess and Crohn’s disease of the rectum can also be felt around or behind the vagina READ MORE
I'm pregnant, and I feel like I'm gaining a lot of weight. Is there anything I can do?
