    A root canal treatment involves the elimination of bacteria from the infected root canal, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed, and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed. Research and development of new techniques and materials have increased the predictability and longevity of the root canal treatment.
