Dedicated Pediatrician with Diverse Experience in Las Vegas, Nevada 

Dr. Vilai is a board-certified pediatrician with a rich background in various healthcare settings, including academic institutions, private practices, and community health programs. His diverse roles as a pediatric/neonatal hospitalist, telemedicine provider for tribal communities, and medical director of several community health centers have shaped his holistic approach to healthcare delivery.

Academically, the doctor’s journey in medicine began at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, where he obtained his MD degree. His dedication to learning and excellence led him to complete his internship at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Pediatrics. Dr. Vilai then further honed his skills during his residency at the renowned MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, specializing in Pediatrics.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Vilai has demonstrated a strong commitment to medical education and community service. He is actively involved in developing the clinical curriculum for Roseman University's upcoming undergraduate medical education program. Dr. Vilai's dedication to teaching and mentoring future healthcare professionals is evident in his numerous awards and recognitions, including Faculty Educator of the Year and Faculty Mentor of the Year.

His clinical interests span a wide range of pediatric healthcare areas, including infectious diseases, behavioral health, and LGBTQIA+ and adolescent medicine. His research interests include medical education, infection prevention, and bioethics in medicine, reflecting his passion for advancing healthcare practices and improving patient outcomes.

Dr. Vilai's commitment to service extends beyond the medical field, as evidenced by his roles as a board member of the Nevada Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and his involvement in various community health initiatives. He serves as the Medical Director of the Shannon West Youth Homeless Center Clinic and has been actively involved in supporting underserved populations in Las Vegas.
