Can excess weight cause spine problems?
The short answer is yes. Excess weight can cause more lower back pain, however, with your history of delivery, there is a good chance you may also be suffering from the lower spine moving too far forward. If you lay flat on the floor, you should not have too much space between the floor and your lower back. If you can easily put your hand under your lower back and not feel your spine because of the curve, you may have a forward lower spine. This can be addressed by chiropractic adjustments and home exercises to relieve your pain. Dr. Steve READ MORE
Can't turn head right after alignment
Even though we have years of school and hands on experience, occasionally the body doesn't react the way we are taught. I guess it didn't read the same book! While annoying, this is not a serious problem. Go back to your doctor and let him know the symptom, he should be able to correct the arm pain with a minor adjustment. READ MORE
My back hurts when I sit down. Why?
Does your back hurt from above the belt line to the left side of the spine? This would be where the dimples are in the back right above the belt. If the pain begins there you may have strained the sacro-illiac joint. Your pain would be less in standing, but when you put more pressure on the sacrum it would begin to hurt worse, kind of like walking on a sprained ankle. The pain would travel up the spine as the body tried to compensate by using other muscles to stabilize the sacro-illiac joint. READ MORE
Should I see a chiro after a car accident?
