How long do you wear a compression garment after an arm lift?
Minimum of 4 weeks, though some patients experience swelling for up to two months that will improve with sleeve compression for some part of each 24 hour period. READ MORE

How can I lose my arm fat?
Lipodystrophy of the arms is common and is easily treated through liposuction alone or liposuction in combination with brachioplasty to remove excess skin. READ MORE

There are a few techniques. I prefer three small incisions in the hair-bearing scalp and the procedure is preformed endoscopically. READ MORE
What is the most painful plastic surgery?
Minor procedures like blepharoplasty and skin tightening procedures are well tolerated with pain scores of 1-2/10 without pain medication. We typically treat these patients with Tylenol and Motrin. Larger procedures like breast augmentation or tummy tuck are typically in the 4-5/10 range. These require 2-3 days of stronger, prescription-strength pain medication. A lip lift is designed to camouflage the scar at a natural junction in the facial anatomy and while there is a scar, it should be difficult to find even with no makeup. READ MORE

However you’d like. Ideally on your back with your legs spread, but I don’t put any restrictions on my patients other than keeping the garment on 24/7 for 4 weeks other than garment changes or doctor visits READ MORE

How long does eyebrow lift last?
A brow lift should last 8-12 years if done correctly. I prefer an endoscopic brow lift as this does not leave any visible scars and achieve a nicely positioned brow that is very adjustable. Most patients are candidates for this approach. READ MORE
What is the best surgery for under eye bags?
Traditional lower blepharoplasty is the gold standard for addressing the bags or festoons that result as we fight time and gravity. There are also several non-surgical options that we use to tighten the skin if patients want to avoid surgery READ MORE
What is the fastest way to recover from eyelid surgery?
Head elevated to 45 degrees and iced gauze on the eyes every 30-60 minutes for the first day. Then continue elevation for one week until sutures are removed. READ MORE
How do you know if a breast implant is leaking?

Being born with neurofibromatosis I've seen my share of plastic surgeons in my 29 years. All have been great at MANAGING it, however only Dr. Theo Gerstle was able to make a significant improvement on my appearance. I had all but given up hope than any improvement could be done, but Dr. Gerstle gave me confidence within the first five minutes of meeting him that he could help me. Not only is he an exceptional surgeon, but they way he treats his patients is unlike any I've seen before. He is so kind and considerate and will spend as much time as you need talking to you. He has forever changed my life. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

Dr. Gerstle did an amazing job on my breasts! Can't believe I feel so good only one day after my implant surgery. He was very flexible and had to reschedule my surgery 3 times. Breast cancer patients in Lexington, KY who are considering reconstruction, please get a consultation with Dr. Theo Gerstle before you embark on that journey! I thank God for leading me to him from another state to rescue me from physical, mental and emotional anguish brought upon me by implant and alloderm reconstruction. My other doctors' solution was to put me on pain meds and send me to counseling To deal with my regrets rather than remove the problem!
