Passionate about educating women about their health, Dr. Danastor integrates her medical expertise with state-of-the-art technology and strives to provide the highest quality of healthcare. Her specialties, in addition to general/high risk obstetrics and gynecologic services, include adolescent gynecology, contraception management, saline infusion sonogram, minimally invasive surgeries including DaVinci procedures, sterilization procedures, endometriosis management, Nexplanon, IUD, urinary incontinence, menopause management, and preventive medicine for women’s health. 

At the start of her academic career, Dr. Danastor completed her undergraduate degree with honors at the University of Florida. Coming for a family of medical professionals, she earned her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine where she was inducted in the Gold Humanism Honor Society and received the 2014 Hippocratic Award. She then completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Vincent Women’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana where she received the prestigious AAGL Outstanding Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Award. 

During her time at the University of Florida College of Medicine, Dr. Danastor learned about medical work opportunities in developing countries such as Haiti, which helped change her mind about a career in women’s health. “In third-world countries, women fill a major role. That’s an awesome thing to take care of people who take care of society. And here I am, years later, not wanting to be like my dad but doing what my dad did. I came to terms with it. Now it’s OK.”

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynecology. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Danastor enjoys traveling with her husband, dancing, and reading. She is fluent in Haitian Creole, French, and English.
