She dedicates her spare time to attending church, playing volleyball, swimming, and singing. Dr. Snell-Hargrove she joined the Texas Air National Guard while still in high school in order to get the much-needed funds to start on her journey of becoming a doctor. Between high school and college, she graduated from the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine as an Environmental Health Technician. While in college, she was activated for Desert Storm/Shield but she did not give up on continuing her education. She completed her undergraduate degree at Prairie View A&M University.
