Is surgery the only option for treating TMJ?
Thank you for your question. Surgery is not the only option. There are occlusal guards, bite splints, even Botox injections. Bite splints can reposition the jaw into a more favorable position, and Botox injections can help with muscle tension relief in that area. These can alleviate some TMJ disorder symptoms. I would definitely recommend seeing a TMJ specialist for non-invasive treatment options before deciding on surgery. READ MORE
How effective are fillings for baby teeth?
Yes, a tooth filling on a baby tooth that has cavities is very important and effective. The sensitivity is most probably due to a cavity (bacteria) that has infiltrated the tooth structure, and removal of this bacteria followed by a filling is the best tx option. READ MORE
Are there any natural remedies for dry mouth?
Biotene over-the-counter mouth rinse is specifically a rinse to alleviate dry mouth symptoms. Please do have your mother try that. READ MORE
Does a root canal take longer to heal for a diabetic?

My son's teeth are discoloured. Why?
Discolored teeth could be due to several reasons. In young children, it could be congenitally weak enamel (hypocalcified enamel), staining from multivitamin intake (ie with iron), or even cavities. Do teeth get affected during pregnancy?
Gingivitis or inflammation of gums during pregnancy is common. You may notice more bleeding around the gums. Getting regular dental cleanings during pregnancy and after delivery is very important, as is proper brushing and daily flossing. Build up of bacteria in general causes cavities and weakened tooth structure so eliminating bacteria thoroughly on a daily basis and maintenance with regular dental visits is key to preventing dental issues during pregnancy. How should I select my toothpaste?
I agree, too many choices and in all honesty, i cant really say one is superior to another. My favorite go-to toothpaste is Tom’s. Its all natural, no colors or additives. I recommend Fluoride toothpastes-helps remineralize weak areas in the enamel READ MORE
Are electric toothbrushes any better for the teeth?
Yes, I believe they are. Sometimes with manual toothbrushes, we tend to aggressively brush which overtime can lead to gum trauma and recession. With the electric toothbrush there is more control, and you just let the spinning bristles do their thing, with no pressure on your part READ MORE

My daughter is 10 years old and has never done well going to a dentist. We were refereed to Dr.Sayeed by a friend and my daughter loves her. The staff is very caring, helpful and devoted to making your child comfortable. We have found our forever dentist!

The doctor was very nice as well as all the other staff here. I had fillings and deep cleaning both the sessions were comfortable and painless. So far I haven't been to a dentist who works this fast and makes it this painless. Also when I arrived on time I didn't have to wait at all. The nurse came for me right away.

This place is pretty chill. I needed my permanent retainer cemented because the glue came off and they fit me in with a 4 hour notice on the same day and were nice about it. They sweet and professional at the same time and straight up about their prices which awesome because I was out of pocket. The dentist was straight forward, sweet, and helpful, and the dental assistant (I think that's what she's called?) and the front desk lady were both super sweet and nice!!! Makes for a great overall experience. I don't have a dentist in the area so I am probably gonna make them my primary dental office. Thanks for a great service!

Amazing dentist!! I'm having old silver fillings replaced and was not looking forward to the process. Dr. Sayeed was very thorough in explaining everything and making sure I was comfortable. Dr. Sayeed and her team are absolutely wonderful. Not only are they extremely professional and welcoming but also incredibly genuine. Dr. Sayeed did a completely painless removals of my old fillings all while making sure I was comfortable throughout the procedures. She is incredibly intelligent and guided me through the whole process, answering any and all questions I had, clearly and concise. She developed a care plan for my dental health to make sure I keep my dental hygiene strong and my oral health has been improved greatly in just a few weeks. The office is also extremely high tech with the best equipment. I highly recommend Dr. Sayeed and her team to anyone who wants top notch dental care and diminished fears of going to the dentist.

I was blown away by how clean and state of art the office and the equipment were. Dr. Sayeed treated me with respect and professionalism. the procedure was absolutely pain free. She listened to my concerns and made me feel comfortable throughout the visit. She was very knowledgeable and explained the procedure to me the way that I understood. I scheduled with Dr. Sayeed for exam cleaning and fillings and she is the best dentist I have ever been to. Being a dentist myself from back home, I immediately knew how meticulous she was with her work. The three fillings she did on me were done with attention to detail and I experienced no pain during or after the procedure at all. She adjusted my bite perfectly and I was so happy there was no post op discomfort. Amazing experience and I highly recommend her. She is great with kids and pediatric dental procedures as well so she is our family dentist now!

I had a fear of dentists but no more! Dr. Sayeed was so gentle and kind that within minutes I was relaxed. I had a really big cavity that I neglected for some time and another dentist told me if I waited any longer I would need a root canal. Dr. Sayeed cleaned and filled the cavity so well I have no pain and I didn't feel anything when she gave me the numbing shot. She told me later she worked a lot with young kids and I can tell because she is super gentle. So happy and I will go back for my remaining treatment. She even took my impressions for Invisalign when I asked so I am looking forward to an even better smile.

I have always been terrified of dentists, but I had no choice to go to one when my gums started to swell and I was in much discomfort. Dr. Afreen gave me the best deep cleaning have ever had with no pain at all. She thoroughly anesthetized and made me feel very comfortable along with helping me understand the further actions I will need to take in order for me to maintain good dental hygiene. I have booked a future appointment with Dr. Afreen so she can fill my cavities. Overall a great dentist, with a great clinic and staff.

The best dental experience ever! I was scheduled for a routine cleaning and exam. After a very thorough cleaning (I was so relaxed the entire time cause the calming music, spa like interior and Dr Sayeed's extremely gentle touch was so comforting, I almost fell asleep! I decided to have a cavity filled the same day. Dr Sayeed cleaned and filled the cavity in no time at all, and it was pain-free. It was such a pleasant experience. She adjusted my bite perfectly so after the numbness wore off, I had no discomfort and no pain (which I cannot say for previous dental fillings at other offices). I am very pleased. I have found my dentist!
