What do you attribute your success to?
Early on I was drawn to the field of medicine primarily due to the two pediatricians who took care of me as a child. My parents and grandparents were highly educated people and I very much like science and math. My interest in medicine began when I was 8 years old. In college I pursued a challenge of becoming an EMT and later went on to Paramedic training after graduating from the College of Wooster in Ohio. It was during the Paramedic training that sealed my desire to further pursue medicine as a career.
Teaching and speaking
I am heavily involved in teaching students from many disciplines. I teach residents in training with Canton Medical Education Foundation at Mercy Medical Center as well as NP and PA students from many universities in my office. I also have medical students rotating in my office every month to learn aspects of primary care medicine of children and adults.
