What is the best way to kill bacteria in the mouth?
You cannot kill all bacteria in the mouth. Some are actually friendly. Good home care and using an antibacterial mouth rinse right after home care is finished would be as good as you can be. Dental anesthesia is usually local anesthesia, which has a very good safety history. If full sedation is required, only a Dentist or Oral Surgeon with special advanced training can perform that type of anesthesia, and may use the additional services of a nurse-anesthetist or a dental anesthetist, in order to perform this service safely. When can I start eating normal food after dentures?
Small amounts chewed equally on both sides to start. Depends on your individual tolerance and also if your dentures are implant-supported. Some patients can eat almost anything, but many have their own unique limitations. Your dentist should be able to provide you with suggestions based on your own unique oral conditions. Good Luck! How do you treat an exposed root of a tooth?
I don't know the whole story here. Some areas of exposed roots can be recovered with your own gum tissue, and the results can be long lasting. How can I fix a gap in my teeth without braces?

Get to know dentist Dr. Michael D. Stern, who serves the Ohio area at his private practice Smile Brighter Willoughby Hills.
Dr. Stern graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology, Dr. Stern continued studies there, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1972. During his time at Ohio State he served as an officer for the Block O Cheering Section, helping to create display stunts for entertainment during the games and after touchdowns.
Following graduation Dr. Stern served his internship at the University of Florida. Each year he participates in courses, seminars, and other forms of continuing education to stay at the forefront of the latest thinking, techniques, materials, and equipment in dentistry. Dr. Stern studied with Dr. Bill Dorfman, famous for his role on the ABC series, Extreme Makeover. This experience helped Dr. Stern stay up to date with emerging trends in cosmetic dentistry, from Hollywood to Willoughby Hills.
Dr. Stern originally served patients in Wickliffe and Lake County for a decade, before founding his Willoughby Hills practice. Dr. Stern is board certified in Pain Management, and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, Fellow of the International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics, and Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management.
