Get to know Physiatrist Dr. Debra K. Roggow, who serves patients in Fort Myers, Florida.

With over 20 years of experience in her field, Dr. Roggow is a physiatrist whose areas of expertise cover joint damage care, trigger point injections and rehabilitation for stroke and spinal cord injuries. Her philosophy of care is to promote optimal health, well-being, and function.Currently, she is in practice with Primary Care Associates in Fort Myers, Florida. 

Primary Care Associates focus on keeping their patients healthy and informed about their care. The team of professionals take pride in the relationships they build with their community.  Dr. Roggow also reaches out to the disabled elerly as a consultant at local skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in her community.

To stay current in her field, the doctor remains a distinguished member of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, the state association for osteopathic physicians in Florida. 

In regards to her educational background, Dr. Roggow earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan in 1988. She then went on to complete her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. 

Throughout her career, she has given numerous lectures including rehabilitation of stroke, spinal cord, arthritis, and back pain. She attributes her success to her passion for her profession and her caring attitude towards her patients

Physical medicine and rehabilitation, also known as physiatry, is a branch of medicine that aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities. Physiatrists treat a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. 

Outside of the office, Dr. Roggow enjoys walking, cooking, and listening to music.
