  • Is rhinoplasty surgery risky?

With proper pre op screening and board certified plastic surgeons coupled with excellent anesthesia services the risk is certainly controlled and minimal. I usually do my rhinoplasty at a hospital with board certified anesthesiologists and the patient stays overnight for a more stress free recovery.. As I usually improve breathing as well as improve appearance insurance covers the hospital and anesthesia// which is a significant savings for the patient!! Any other questions.. contact us at 561 7953787 Or drbafitis.com READ MORE

  • What is the best treatment for skin tightening?

The best overall skin tightening procedure is literally geared per each patient…on the degree of laxity on the degree of loss of eladtic fibers AND WHERE THE LAXITY IS. Radio frequency devices are superb options for overall tightening; they require one to two sessions a week for about 3 weeks….We use NUERA radio frequency device and the EVOLVE system with tite tone and trim options. We also utilize MORPHEUS radio frequency microneedling device/dramatic improvement for face and areas of loose tissue/cellulite on body … we do MORPHEUS often in conjunction with stem cells applied to face after or PRF (platelet-rich fibrinogen )… Other more invasive options with and without surgery are often routinely employed as well… THANK YOU, DR. • Can you get liposuction on your hands?

It is a rare instance that some one would choose liposulpture on their hands. Placing fat or filler on the dorsum of the hands to have the heads look more rejuvenated is a more common request. Harold Bafitis, DO MPH FACOS FACS READ MORE

  • Can I take the fat from my stomach and put in buttocks?

This is a good question: CAN FAT BE TRANSFERRED FROM THE ABDOMEN OR ANY OTHER AREA OF THE BODY TO THE GLUTEAL ZONE? Go to a board certified plastic surgeon who does power assist lipo Sculpsure and is well versed in fat transfer. • How do you get rid of a double chin without surgery?

Thanks for your question about how to get some improvement on a sagging skin or a obtuse cervical mental angle :bulky central neck. Although surgery is the most efficacious and long lasting improvement there are some recent advances that create non-surgical/minimal invasive modalities that can significantly improve this double chin appearance. The use of the INMODE face tight or accutite radio frequency device can significantly improve the contour of the chin and neck angle. This is a highly sophisticated radio frequency device that can be performed as an outpatient under straight local anesthesia. The patient goes home the same day wearing a minimal compression wrap for 24 hours and can resume activities within 48 hours with minimal swelling. The results are excellent but the patient must know that an initial result will manifest within three weeks but a more significant result will take up to 3 to 4 months. The result itself will last up to 15 to 18 months but the tissues will always maintain a better firmness than they had before the procedure as new collagen has been created. Thank you so much, Dr. Bafitis READ MORE

  • Can dermal pigmentation be removed?

Double pigmentation is a very perplexing issue for many patients, specifically when it is difficult to remove with normal bleaching creams. Dermal pigmentation which really is darkening secondary to certain conditions like pregnancy, trauma, post-procedure, i.e., laser or microneedling RF, or just your ordinary run-of-the-mill aging sun damage. At Bafitis plastic surgery, we treat double pigmentation specifically of the face and neck, and oftentimes of the parts of the body with a variety of different modalities, all efficacious, all approved by the FDA and based on Dr. Bafitis's 30-year history of being a plastic surgeon based on proven results. The modalities employed involve an IPL laser and/or CO2 blade of laser and/or microneedling be it with infusion of growth factors or radio frequency microneedle he called Morpheus. The mainstay of treatment though starts with Dr. Bafitis's compounded product called feed and renew. Over two weeks, we start with feed and renew and then add a booster to assist a penetrating and 80% of the time no other treatment is necessary. READ MORE

  • Is eyelid surgery risky?

Eyelid surgery in skilled surgical hands is not risky at all. The upper lids are much easier to do than lower lids but upper lids and lower lids need to be addressed by somebody who truly understands the anatomy of the eyelid as well as the facial balance and proportion of the patient. It's important to note that eyelid surgery should be different for male and female patients. The lower lids are also a significant Surgical challenge. I personally always do fat transfer and a modified cheek lift as well as a skin pinch of lower lids and a retinacular suspension which prevents drooping of the lower lid. You could see results by going to dr Bafitis.com. I also laser the lower lids scar with a CO2 laser at three weeks which essentially makes the scar look invisible. Be careful who you go to an asked to see examples as well as being able to talk to patients thank you Dr. Bafitis READ MORE

  • Can under eye bags be removed?

YES AND A BIG YES TO THAT QUESTION. PLEASE NOTE THOUGH THAT LOWER EYELID SURGERY IS 1000X MORE DIFFICULT THAN UPPER LID SURGERY.OFTEN A LOWER LID CHEEK LIFT AND FAT TRANSFER IS INDICATED /AS WELL AS A PROCEDURE THAT PREVENTS LOWER LID DROOPING AFTER SURGERY ( RETINACULAR SUSPENSION ). PICK YOUR SURGEON CAREFULLY ..GO TO DRBAFITIS .COM AND VIEW RESULTS . REMEMBER YOUR EYES SHOULD LOOK NATURAL NOT LIKE YOU HAD SURGERY!~ THANK YOU DR BAFITIS READ MORE

  • How long does scar revision surgery take?

Depending on size and location of scar, it varies widely. Scars across HIGH TENSION areas like the mid chest or back and shoulders are more challenging in removal and correction. I usually use allografts of stem cells to assist in healing. I often recommend laser for scars after surgery to improve the cosmetic result. READ MORE

  • Are tummy tucks painful to get?

Good question! Depends if you correct a hernia with the “tummy tuck” and/or do Lipo Sculpture with the procedure. Usually, you get a tight feeling and not as much pain. It may be a little uncomfortable in the first few weeks as you may be bent forward for a bit. Most of my patients have little pain and more tightness. I always do liposuction with the procedure to get the best waist possible and often correct hernias all from the low bikini line incision. READ MORE

  • Is plastic surgery done with anesthesia?

Usually you are given some oral medication, a Valium-type drug. This allows you to relax and keep your blood pressure down (WHICH IS GOOD FOR HAIR GRAFTING!). Also, the oral medicine can potentially prevent side effects from the local anesthetics (i.e., Lidocaine) used in the procedure. Make sure you go to a board certified SURGEON for your hair restoration. Check all credentials. You will be surprised that many doctors are only there for show and do not participate in the procedure. THANK YOU READ MORE

  • Whats the earliest age you can get a cosmetic nose job?

This is a great question. For females, age 14-17. For males, age 16-18. It's important to have cartilage mature in the growing patient. Make sure you go to a physician who does plenty of rhinoplasty and is board certified. THANK YOU READ MORE

  • Does laser treatment work for correcting acne scars?

Yes, you can obtain almost 70% to 80% improvement with the use of fat transfer mixed with PRP or ACELL into the scarred areas with needle subscion followed by CO2 laser treatment. Or, you can follow with a series of icon laser treatments; the 1540 every 6 weeks X3 treatments all work well. Thank you, Dr. Bafitis READ MORE

Great plastic surgeon and staff! Had several small facial procedures that made a great impact. It was exactly what I expected. This plastic surgeon was both meticulous and very honest. I will continue to go back to Dr Bafitis and have recommended him to several friends. I am a very OCD "type A" personality and if you can get the highest rating from me you really must have delivered and past my high level of expectations. Says volumes too that his staff was really amazing.

Highest recommendation! Dr Bafitis performed liposuction on my abdomen area. Being in my forties I really struggled with my pooch area and no matter what diet or fit program, I never had the pooch budge much in size. I HAVE WASHBOARD ABS! This doctor is a perfectionist. Amazing personality and surgical skills to match. I would have done this years ago had I known the result I could have wth Dr Bafitis. Thank you!

Absolutely AMAZING DOCTOR! Has gone above and beyond to satisfy my expectations of my procedure (breast lift with implant removal). Minimal scarring and perky young looking breasts again. I feel rejuvenated. I am so grateful after seeing so many consults with so many other plastic surgeons from Ft Lauderdale to Jupiter that I definitely CHOSE THE RIGHT PLASTIC SURGEON. He was the one and only recommendation my radiologist (from Palm Beach Radiology who does my annual breast mammograms) highly recommended. I figured a radiologist should know, after seeing so many breast mammograms, which plastic surgeon does great work! He was spot on with Dr Bafitis.

Dr. Bafitis is an excellent physician. I had a bilateral mastectomy in 2013 and I was at the lowest point of my life. Once I met Dr. Bafitis and he told me he can't make me perfect, but he can come close to it. Well I had my reconstruction surgery in 2015 . My life is so much better. My confidence is very high and I feel like a complete women again. I will high recommend him to family, friends and strangers. He is very professional and really cares about his patient. Job well done!
