Guido K.W. Frank, MD, is an associate professor of child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine/Children's Hospital Colorado in Denver, Colorado. He is also affiliated with CU Anschutz Medical Campus at Children?s Hospital Colorado and is an assistant professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine. Dr. Frank has 21 years of diverse experience and special expertise in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry and psychotherapy. He received his medical degree from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 1994 and was an Intern/Resident in Prien am Chiemsee, Germany. He then completed another residency in psychiatry at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a clinical child and adolescent psychiatry and research fellowship at the University of California, San Diego. Additionally, Dr. Frank was in the Army Medical Service where he acted as an instructor of recruits from 1996 to 1997. He is an active member of the Bavarian and German Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the Society of Biological Psychiatry, the Academy for Eating Disorders, the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology, the Eating Disorders Research Society and the American Association of Acute Care Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Frank also attained certification with the prestigious American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
