Spearheading, Groundbreaking Programs to Improve Community Health and Reduce Emergency Room Visits

Johnny is an impactful physician assistant who is revolutionizing healthcare delivery in Midland, Texas. With a focus on proactive and community-centered care, he is a vital member of the EMS DSRIP project, where he responds to non-urgent EMS calls to provide immediate care and prevent unnecessary Emergency Room visits. 

In addition to his role in the EMS DSRIP project, he also leads the Midland Fire Department’s Community Health program, which aims to identify and support high-volume EMS and ER patients in becoming more self-sufficient in managing their healthcare needs. Through targeted interventions and education, he and his team are empowering patients to take control of their health and reduce reliance on emergency services.

With a diverse range of specialties including emergency medicine, family medicine, and internal medicine, Johnny brings a wealth of expertise to his role at Midland Health. His dedication to ongoing education and professional development is evident in his Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Centre, ensuring that he remains at the forefront of best practices in healthcare delivery.
